My student loans are eating me alive. I have 3 VERY large loans and 3 smaller loans. 1 of the large loans and all my small loans stem from my first school. It went out of business while I was attending, but since the loans are private loans, I can't do anything about it. I found out today that my balance has increased significantly since I graduated. I have NEVER missed a payment and have paid in advance. Yet my loan is up $8k since I took them. I am drowning in depression over this and would gladly trade my life's collection and all I poses just to rid myself of my student loan debt. Me and my wife share a total of $80,000 or so of student loans. Each month that takes $1,000 just to pay the minimum. I don't know what to do. I would need to ask 1,000 people to give me $80 to pay that off. I...I need to figure something out before it kills me. My ulcer is getting worse from stress. I'm failing my family. I have two kids that I won't be able to assist in their education and a wonderful wife who worries about me.
